This blog post may be far from what concept I’am going for but before we enjoy the beauty of nature, we should be reminded that our world is slowly dying and that we should take care for God’s creation.
Here are my ways on how to care for creation.
1.No plastic please

We cannot avoid using plastics in our everyday lives. Plastics make our lives easier but it is also very harmful for us especially the animals. Most of our plastics goes to the ocean and marine animals are greatly affected. So to help reduce the plastic pollution, our school, Assumption Iloilo recently implemented this project which we call “Eco-Brick”. In making the eco-brick you will only need an empty water bottle and your trash (specifically plastics). There would be a specific measure of the weight of the eco-brick so that it will be sturdy because it will be used in making a bench.
2. Planting new seeds of life
It is sad to say that most of our mountains are now bare because trees are cut due to new businesses. I want to encourage the youth to participate in tree planting activities because it is also one way of showing that you truly care for creation. Last February 15, 2019, we had our field trip and it was a WANDERful day for us. We planted mangroves in Ajuy, Iloilo and I was so honored to be one of the people to start a new and fresh life.
3. Water is life!
Water is truly life. Without water humans, animals, and plants cannot survive in the Earth. Water is very essential in our everyday lives because we drink it, we clean ourselves with water, and we also use it to water the plants. But we should know that in several countries, water is scarce and many people die because of the lack of water supply. Starting from now on we must know how to conserve water and here are the ways to conserve water: a)turn off the faucet when brushing your teeth, b)turn off the water motor if not in use, and c) reuse water when watering the plants.
I hope this blog motivated you to start caring for creation. We should always remind ourselves that God created our world beautifully, so we must know how to appreciate it and how to protect it.
Thank you for reading. ‘Till my next blog!~
